Gwinnett Language Tutoring: The Best Around
AP LANGUAGE
This course is usually taken by high school juniors. It is the precursor to AP Literature. They learn about topics like claims and evidence, rhetorical situation, style, and reasoning and organization through writing, reading, and analyzing texts. We highly recommend this course for students to achieve high scores on the verbal portions of the SAT and ACT.
AP LITERATURE
This is a literary analysis course, and it is usually taken by high school seniors. Students grow their understanding of literature through reading and analyzing texts. They explore literary concepts such as:
- Structure
- Setting
- Character
- Figurative language
- Perspective
- Literary analysis in the context of notable literary texts
BRITISH LITERATURE
This course is usually taken by high school sophomores or juniors. Students will study British tradition in literature by critically reading various genres of texts including:
- Poetry
- Novels
- Informational texts
- Visual texts
FRENCH
We offer tutoring services for French I and French II. These courses are usually taken by high school freshmen and sophomores.
SPANISH
We offer tutoring services for Spanish I and Spanish II. These courses are usually taken by high school freshmen and sophomores.
GEORGIA HISTORY
Students take this course in 8th grade. They are required to take the Citizenship Test this year, which can be quite challenging. We assist students through this course and prepare them for the Citizenship Test.
AP HUMAN GEOGRAPHY
This course is usually taken by high school freshmen. Students grow their understanding of human geography through geographic and data analysis. They explore topics like:
- Spatial processes
- Human impacts
- Patterns and spatial organization
- Interactions with their environment
- Societal changes
AP WORLD HISTORY
This course is usually taken by high school sophomores. Students will study the economic, political, cultural, and social developments that have shaped our world from c. 1200 CE to now. They will analyze visual sources, texts, and other historical evidence as well as write essays portraying historical arguments.
AP US HISTORY
This course is usually taken by high school juniors or seniors. Students will study the economic, political, cultural, and social developments that have shaped the United States from c. 1491 to now. They will analyze visual sources, texts, and other historical evidence as well as write essays portraying historical arguments.
